We all need mentors but they are not always available to us, and may not be in our companies or circles at all. That doesn't mean you need to go without a mentor, it just means you need to get a little creative in how you find them. Who are the people out there in the world who inspire you, expand your thinking, open you to new ideas? Think of them as your virtual mentors. Here are some great sources:

Remember, a mentor doesn't have to be just like you, or even be in the same industry or area of expertise as you. He or she should be someone you admire, whose achievements and style you respect, and who you relate to. When you start looking you'll find lots of inspiration out there. And you may even get to meet them one day and tell them how important they are to you.
